LISCOMP

LISCOMP is a computational facility jointly established by the Università di Genova and the IRCCS Ospedale Policlinico San Martino
LISCOMP lab focuses on the formulation, development, and implementation of computational methods for analysing multi-modal data in life science.

Mathematical methods

  • Inverse problems
  • Machine learning
  • Regularization
  • Pattern recognition in imaging (denoising, segmentation…)
  • Optimization
  • Bayesian methods (Variational Bayes, Monte Carlo sampling…)
  • Graph theory techniques
  • Dynamical systems modelling
  • Compartmental analysis
  • Molecular interaction maps (MIM)
  • Statistical data analysis

Applications to medicine

  • Brain connectivity from E/MEG, MRI, PET data
  • Neurological disease progression modelling
  • Radiomics for oncology
  • Analysis of multi-modal data in MRI, CT, PET images
  • Analysis of omics data
  • Chemical Reaction Networks (CRN)
