The STIX meeting 2025 is organized and hosted by the DIMA – Dipartimento di Matematica of the Università di Genova, the headquarters of the MIDA group.

The STIX team holds a series of face-to-face workshops focused on reviewing recent findings from STIX, in combination with data from other instruments aboard Solar Orbiter, Parker Solar Probe, SDO, STEREO, and various ground-based instrumentation. These gatherings also serve as an opportunity to assess the current performance and condition of the instrument. The event brings together researchers involved in interpreting STIX data and welcomes participation from the broader Solar Orbiter scientific community. A dedicated segment, known as the “STIX Friends” session, is included to facilitate collaborative analysis with other instruments and to encourage discussion on associated theoretical models and interpretations.

The whole MIDA group takes part in the meeting, in particular with their interventions:

  • Paolo Massa "Latest results on the STIX data calibration process"
  • Anna Volpara "Greedy approaches for astronomical imaging"
  • Barbara Palumbo "3D Reconstructions of Solar Flares from Real STIX and HXI Data"
  • Alessia Guidetti "Emission Measure Imaging from STIX Data"
